STEPS TO CREATE HEALTHY HABITS IN YOUR KIDS

It's good to get your kids into healthy habits from an early age. One of the most important is to teach them how to wash their hands thoroughly, as this helps prevent the spread of germs, bacteria and diseases, and helps your whole family stay healthy! Here are some easy steps:

  • Use warm water - best for killing off any germs - and an antibacterial liquid soap.
  • Health professionals recommend washing for between 15-20 seconds, so a fun tip is to wash for the time it takes to sing their favourite nursery rhyme. Twinkle twinkle little star works well for this!
  • Lather up the soap, and remember to teach them to clean in all the nooks and crannies. Wash palm-to-palm, between fingers, back of hands, and even wrists. And don’t forget under the fingernails too.
