Did you know that processed foods take your body longer to break down than natural products? Most food that comes in a jar or a packet contains chemicals (you know, those long words on the back that we can't even pronounce!) to increase their shelf life.  This means our bodies need to use more energy to digest and eliminate these chemicals from the stuff we actually want to store.

While pre-packaged goods can be really convenient, it's good to think long term – even if it's just swapping one meal a week for something fresh.

And lucky for us these days, there's a fresh food movement that's making healthy eating nice and easy. Farmers Markets are popping up all over Australia, so help support local and get what's fresh and in-season.
